For us, a house is a home – a place to relax, enjoy and live in.

So, we work with property managers, real estate agents, landlords, tenants, and homeowners to ensure their properties are free from contamination and healthy and safe to live in.

This includes providing independent testing and reporting for meth and asbestos contamination, as well as healthy homes assessments and other landlord services. Providing a complete compliance service that you can trust.

In the event a contamination test does come back positive, which we understand can be pretty scary, we work with you to help deal with it.

Ultimately, we’re on your side and our goal is the best outcome for you. If you’d like, we can project manage the cleanup process and provide advice. This includes:

• Helping you deal with insurance
• Critiquing quotes
• Doing a final test and report

NZ Healthy Homes operates independently and is not aligned with any meth or asbestos contamination cleanup companies, so we have no conflict of interest and can guarantee the accuracy of our results. ​

Also, other than assessments, we don’t provide services related to the Healthy Homes Standards, such as insulation, heat pumps or ground vapour barriers.

We pride ourselves on our customer service. Available 7 days a week, for both testing and assessments, as well as inquires and support, we are incredibly responsive and always put our customers first.

After having to understand the requirements and work out best practice for his own properties, property investor and homeowner Steve Hegh started NZ Healthy Homes to make what can be a confusing and potentially scary area for property owners as painless as possible.

Having previously led the customer service team for a large freight forwarding company he created the company he wanted testing and assessing his properties.
